Representatives from clubs such as Manchester City or Bayer Leverkusen, champions of the Premier League and the Bundesliga respectively, along with other clubs from different countries in Europe, participated in training sessions in which the different departments explained the work methodology.
Corporate Director of Valencia CF, Javier Solís, gave a welcome in the VIP Box at Mestalla, thanking those present for their interest.
“For us it is very positive that associations such as the ECA are interested and come to Valencia to learn about the different areas here. It is a recognition of the work that is done by the VCF Academy and shows that the fruits that we see in the first team attract interest,” explained Luis Martínez, Director of the VCF Academy.
VALENCIA CF AS AN EXAMPLE IN EUROPE
“Valencia CF have between 5 and 6 players who continually play with the first team in a very competitive league. This is fantastic for the club and an example to show the rest of Europe and the rest of the clubs” added Pouya Yaghoubinia, Football Development Manager of the ECA.
“For the ECA it is an honour to organise this Academy Visit with Valencia CF, who are investing a lot of time, energy and resources into developing the young talents of the future. They have a clear DNA, a structure and a clear philosophy that is transmitted to all levels at the club.”
The training sessions took place in the Media Centre at the Ciudad Deportiva and at Mestalla and were complemented with the viewing of training sessions of different U15 and U16 teams.
