Rioja: "This has to serve as a lesson"
The winger talks about the loss to Real Oviedo
The forward analyses the loss to Real Oviedo
Arnaut Danjuma spoke to VCF Media after he scored a goal and missed a penalty against Real Oviedo.
RESPONSIBILITY
“I feel responsible. The penalty came at a moment in the game that was important for us. Pepelu asked me if I wanted to take it, and I said 'yes' because I felt good. I'd scored a goal, and I thought I was doing well in the game. It was an important moment, but this can't mean we lose the game. It's a very tough day. With the quality we have, with the players we have… It wasn't our best game, but we shouldn't have lost it.”
A TOUGH BLOW
“We were doing well. They weren't a better side than us. They had few chances. We shouldn't have lost the game today. That's football. It hurts a lot. I can't explain how we feel. You can only do one thing: keep going, even when feeling a lot of pain.”
BEING DEMANDING
“We have to get back up, but we have to face reality. With the quality and the players we have, here at Mestalla in front of our fans, we shouldn't be losing this game. If we want to grow and be among the best teams in LaLiga, which is the challenge we have, we can't lose like this. We have to get back up and go again against Girona. But we can't forget this game; we have to analyse it.”
