Valencia CF will face Burgos CF in the 2025-26 Copa del Rey Round of 16 between January 13 and 15, as drawn by the RFEF draw held at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas. Below, learn some curiosities about the Burgos team.

The current Burgos CF was founded in 1985, although it did not start competing until 1994. Today, it is presided over by Marcelo Figoli, and its men’s first team is managed by Luis Miguel Ramis. The Burgos side is currently in tenth place in the LALIGA HYPERMOTION standings with 29 points from 20 matches played (8 wins, 5 draws, and 7 losses).

Among their most outstanding players are: David González (team leader in goals and assists with 5 and 4, respectively), Grego (first in passes with 900), and Atienza (leader in recoveries with 49).

To reach the Round of 16 in the Copa del Rey, they had to defeat Atlético Tordesillas, Real Zaragoza, and Getafe CF. Valencia CF will visit El Plantío for the tenth time, a stadium with a lot of history, preceded by stadiums such as Laserna or Zatorre.
