The forward reaches a milestone with Valencia CF
Valencia CF forward Hugo Duro reached his 150th official appearance for the club in the LaLiga match against Deportivo Alavés.
Speaking after the game, he said that “I find it incredible. I've been here for five years; time flies. I enjoy every day here. It's an incredible milestone to reach, and I hope there are many more games to come for me -because I don't think I’d find anywhere else where I enjoy what I enjoy here."
He joined Valencia CF in the summer of 2021 from Getafe CF, and his first official game for the club was on September 12th, 2021, at El Sadar against CA Osasuna. His most notable goal to date was that scored in the 2022 Copa del Rey final.
During the 2024/25 season, Duro entered the list of the Top 50 all-time scorers for Valencia CF, surpassing players such as Juan Sánchez, Adrian Illie, Carlos Soler, Paco Alcácer, Solsona, and Fernando Morientes. He also became the sixth Valencia CF player to score at least 10 goals in LaLiga in at least two different seasons this century, joining David Villa, Roberto Soldado, Jonas Gonçalves, Paco Alcácer and Carlos Soler.
