Aguirre: "It's a very important win for us"

Valencia CF coach Javier Aguirre talked to VCF Radio following the 0-1 win over Elche CF in LaLiga.

The win

“It’s a very important win for us, because we’d come off three matches without a victory, and now we have Real Madrid CF coming up. We couldn’t afford to get cut adrift. Getafe CF and RCD Espanyol both won, so if we hadn't done likewise, a rather large gap would have opened up. It’s a very significant win, both in terms of the result and the performance. In LALIGA, winning is extremely difficult. Everyone runs, fights, and plays well.”

Sadiq's return

“It's great news for everybody. We also had the chance to make it 0-2, and I don't know what happened in that move. Elche CF had their chances too. The win feels good."

The next game against Real Madrid CF

“You don't need extra motivation for that game. We'll be playing against one of the best sides in the world, and I hope that we have a good game."
