Aliou Dieng: Player Bio

Aliou Dieng brings to Valencia CF a potent presence in the midfield, with his defensive and attacking capabilities backed up by superb anticipation, interception and an ability to drive forward. 

THE 2025/26 SEASON

The man from Bamako comes to Valencia CF after a solid year at Al Ahly SC in the Egyptian Premier League, where he made 34 appearances in 2025/26 and scored 1 goal. He competed in the league, CAF Champions League and Egyptian Supercup

Dieng was a key part of the club since his arrival in 2019/20. Playing some 247 games, he scored 11 goals and won 16 trophies (3 League titles, 3 Cups, 4 Supercups, 4 CAF Champions Leagues and 2 CAF Supercups).

OTHER CLUBS

Dieng also played for Al-Kholood in the Saudi League on loan during the 2024/25 season, making 31 appearances and scoring 3 goals. He turned out for MC Alger in the Algerian League earlier in his career where he played for two seasons (2017/18 and 2018/19), playing 46 times and scoring 1 goal.

INTERNATIONAL LEVEL

In 2015 he played six matches for Mali Under-23s and, since 2016, Dieng has accumulated experience with the senior side, having played 47 times to date.
