Almeida: "We're changing the dynamic"
The midfielder assesses the showing against Levante UD
André Almeida talked about the win against Levante UD in a post-match interview with VCF Media.
The importance of the victory
The season has been difficult so far. In some matches, we didn't feel our best. I think we're changing the dynamic; we're playing better, creating many more chances. Before, we were more clinical, and now not so much, but I think the hardest thing is creating chances, and we're creating quite a few of them.
Continuity
Now, away from home, we have to keep going for the three points. I think the hardest thing in this league is playing away from home, and if we do that, that's what makes the difference for us to be up there in the standings.
Hugo Duro's goal
I was right there, and it was a great goal. I've already said before that he doesn’t score those in training -but he scores a lot of those in games.
Being a key player in midfield
Before, we played with a back three, with a full-back dropping in; now we're more dynamic. It could be a full-back, or a defensive midfielder, and it could be me, and I think that makes the difference. Nowadays, opponents study you, and if we always do the same thing, if there's no dynamism, it's very easy to defend.
I think that if I don't play so far forward, if I drop back more, I get the ball more and I think I can help the team more. I really believe in momentum, and I think we're having more of that -and I think the team are playing much better.
Mestalla
We couldn't point the finger at the fans before; they always help us here at Mestalla, that's why we're usually so strong here. I thank them and hope they continue like this, because we're going to fight on the pitch for them, for ourselves, and try to get higher and higher up, to where the club deserve to be.
