Baptiste Santamaría: "I'm very happy, Valencia CF is a great club with a great history"
First words from the new Valencia CF signing
Baptiste Santamaría is now a new Valencia CF player. The French midfielder has expressed his happiness about becoming a Valencianista in these first statements and has shared his desire to start working under our head coach, Carlos Corberán, and to begin helping the team on the pitch.
He knows where he’s coming to
I'm very happy to be here, it's a great opportunity for me. Valencia CF is a great club with a great history, it's incredible for me, I wanted to play here.
How he defines himself on the pitch
I can bring my experience from French football and the Bundesliga, playing alongside young players and helping the club achieve its goal.
His qualities as a footballer
I'm a player who likes to play for everyone and help everyone. It's hard to say what my qualities are, but I'm generous and good with long balls. I play with aggression.
He already knows about the Valencia CF fans
I think they’re really good. I spoke to a friend who played here before, Ludovic Butelle, and he told me it’s incredible. I want to play already. I arrived at the airport and many people came to see me, which was beautiful. I played with Butelle at Angers SCO and he played here with David Villa, with a great team. He told me it was beautiful.
His goal as a new Valencia CF player
I want to play, I want to win, and I'm here to win. I know that Valencia CF is a great club and I want to help the team reach its goal.
