Chicago director praises VCF Academy World Cup 

The players from the VCF Academy in Chicago (USA) are making their first visit to the Ciudad Deportiva since their launch at the end of last year. They will participate in the III VCF Academy World Cup over the coming days.

“For the kids it is a great experience,” says Eléazar Pérez, Director of the VCF Academy Chicago. “They are having a great time and we as coaches are learning a lot about the DNA of Valencia CF.”

“The people here have been very welcoming and kind. The parents are loving the experience too. One of the things we want families to take away from here is not only the football experience but also the culture, the identity of Valencia CF, understanding the gastronomy, the language... everything,” adds Pérez.

“The coaches who have come to Chicago from Valencia have been very easy to work with, very respectful, good with the children and committed to the values of the club and the VCF Academy. I am very grateful for the opportunity that Valencia CF are giving and we are very committed and confident about growing with what we are doing in Chicago, representing Valencia CF” concluded the director.

In addition to training and matches, players and family members of the VCF Academy in Chicago are enjoying various activities such as a visit to the Camp de Mestalla, the oldest in LaLiga with over 100 years of history and some sightseeing tours of Valencia, one of the best cities in the world to live with its wonderful Malvarrosa beach, pure Mediterranean DNA.

This is the first time that the VCF Academy Chicago has participated in the VCF Academy World Cup and visited the Ciudad Deportiva del Valencia CF to learn more about the methodology of the VCF Academy, the fourth best in Europe in the training of players to compete at the elite level according to the CIES Football Observatory.

The VCF Soccer Academy of Chicago is established in the O'Hare area, expanding from Schaumburg, Des Plaines, Norrigde to Franklin Park and Melrose Park, the sphere of influence of this new VCF Academy that is established in the city of Chicago, which is recognized as the most lively sports city in North America.
