Diakhaby: "It's a tough time, but we're going to turn things around"

The defender reviews the Matchday 18 game against Celta Vigo

Mouctar Diakhaby talked after the defeat to Celta Vigo, with the defender analysing the defeat.

The result

“It’s a very tough defeat to take. We’re really disappointed. We have to accept it and work harder. It’s easy to say, but we have to try to turn this situation around. Losing 4-1 is a tough thing to take for a footballer. We started the game well, and we played well in the first half, but the details didn’t go our way. We were pushing for the equaliser to make it 2-2 and I made a mistake, which I take full responsibility for, and it killed our chances of drawing level. It’s a difficult situation to be in and we have to grow as a team. I’m optimistic and we’re going to get out of this. We have to take responsibility, work harder, and give it our all. We should be higher up in the table.”

The next match against Elche CF

“We know the fans are angry, and that’s understandable. I understand how they feel, but we have to grow as a team and we’re going to give everything we have to turn things around.”
