
Juan Carlos Corell is one of many Valencianistas who is working on the frontline in Spain in the fight against COVID-19. The president of the Penya Valencianista 18 de Març, he is also a nurse at the Hospital Gregorio Marañón facility in Madrid, working every night in the emergency ward.
Whilst he has made many trips to watch the team, including to Seville for last year's Copa del Rey final, Corell and his fellow supporters group members have had to put their plans on hold as football takes a pause.
Speaking this week, he sent a message to Valencia CF fans urging them to continue to stay at home.
"I ask that you all stay at home. That's the way that we will stop the spread of the virus, and help the healthcare workers who are on the frontline, trying to save lives and take care of people so that this doesn't get much worse.
"We will beat this together, with everyone contributing from their own spot. Stay at home and Amunt Valencia!"
