The VCF Agrupación de Peñas have received an impressive response to their ongoing initiative, which they put together at the end of March in the battle against Covid-19.
Fede Sagreras, president of the collective, told VCF Media on Tuesday that: "We have raised 10,000 euros for the purchase of hand sanitiser gel for residences for the elderly. We reached that amount in practically 10 days. I want to thank all of the Penyes and Penyistas who did their bit, so that on their behalf -and on behalf of all Valencianistas- we could collaborate with these elderly people who are suffering from coronavirus."
He added that "There is still a window of a few days remaining to raise more. The initiative runs until April 17th, so why not set the next target of 15,000 euros? That would enable us to buy more bottles of gel and be able to help more people."
