Almeida: "We needed this victory, it was a final, but we have eight more to come"
André Almeida reflected on the 0-2 win over Elche away from home, in conversation with VCF Media.
Trying to keep the run going
It's a relief. We needed this victory, it was a final, but we have eight more to come. This victory will help us a lot in the battle for safety.
A strong back line
I think we were consistent and defended very well. We tried to give Elche the ball in order to go on the counter. We are satisfied because it went well for us and we won the match.
His spectacular move
I took an extra touch, the opposition defender took away my vision of the goal, but I had to shoot. The most important thing was to win the game.
The support of the fans
It was incredible. When we got here there were 5,000 fans singing before the game. It was as if we were playing at Mestalla.
