André: "The result is a pity because the team gave everything"
Marcos André lamented the defeat suffered by Valencia CF against FC Barcelona, after the great effort made by the team. He spoke after the final whistle with VCF MEDIA.
Effort
It's a pity. We put in a great effort. We had our chances. We have to keep going. Today we competed well in the second half. We showed that we're switched on and we can compete against anyone. If we continue like this, we're going to compete well.
The team gave everything. It was maximum effort. The people who started and those who came on from the bench. It's a pity -there is no other word for it. We had a great game. We deserved the victory, but these matches are decided by details.

The support of the fans
The fans provided great motivation from the moment we left the hotel and arrived at the stadium. They are our twelfth man. In the next game, hopefully we get the three points because the fans deserve it.
Controversy
The move with Marcos Alonso saw him catch me on the ankle, which I think was a red card offence. As for the disallowed goal, I went to put my head on the ball, but I was pushed and it hit my hand. But it was reviewed and not called for a penalty. We have to keep going. Let's be positive, because we are in synch with the fans.
