The Valencia CF forward is through to the U21 EURO quarter-finals
Just before last Saturday's LaLiga Matchday 13 game against Granada CF, a former player for both sides received a homage at Mestalla.
Ángel Castellanos spent ten seasons at Valencia CF, winning the Copa del Rey, European Cup Winners Cup and European Supercup during his time at the club, as well as captaining the team. He would also play for a a further five years at Granada CF.
More than 30 years after his retirement, he is still remembered fondly and admired by both sets of fans.
Castellanos, who attended Valencia CF's Centenary events earlier this year, is the honourary president of Granada CF, and was at Mestalla in an official capacity that he was able to combine with a memory-invoking trip to his former home ground.
VCF president Anil Murthy and representative Juan Cruz Sol greeted Castellanos and presented him with a copy of the official Centenary book.
