Anil Murthy welcomes 1970/71 title winners to Mestalla
Sunday marks 50 years since a famous LaLiga title win for Valencia CF
Valencia CF president Anil Murthy welcomed four of the members of the 1970/71 LaLiga title winning squad back to Mestalla this weekend, on thhe occasion of the 50th anniversary of the triumph.
Pep Claramunt, Enrique Claramunt, José Vicente Forment and Antón all came to the stadium during the Fórum Algirós event this week, remembering the famous achievement.
A firecracker was let off at Mestalla to emulate the celebrations by the fans in Sarriá, Barcelona, back in 1971, when Valencia CF were confirmed as champions.
