Aspanion, the Association of Parents of Children with Cancer in the Valencia region, was the protagonist of the ADN Mestalla Solidari campaign for the game between Valencia CF and Granada CF. The project run by Valencia CF and the VCF Foundation gives recognition and visibility to entities that help worthy causes on a local level.
Cancer survivors Cristian Gil and Sonia Simón were greeted in the Sala Juan Cruz Sol by the president of Valencia CF, Anil Murthy, the director general of the VCF Foundation, Teo Swee Wei, club ambassadors, Ricardo Arias and Miguel Tendillo and Sophia Yang, director of Granada CF.
Aspanion was created in 1985 by affected families themselves, and its objective is to guarantee the best quality of life for children and adolescents with cancer and for their families.
It offers psychological and social care to achieve dignified quality of life, reduce problems parallel to the disease and achieve reintegration into society in conditions of equality.
