Blanco the latest goalscorer produced in the VCF Academy

The young talent is the eighth product of the youth system to score for the first team this season

Álex Blanco's goal this past Sunday against Granada CF had special significance to the VCF Academy, as he became the latest player to have featured for the club at youth level and gone on to score for the first team.

His prowess in front of goal was well known to followers of VCF Mestalla, for whom he found the net 11 times in 51 games.

Eight players with history at the VCF Academy have got goals this season for Valencia CF, either in LaLiga or the Copa del Rey.

Heading that list is Carlos Soler, who has scored 8 goals -7 in LaLiga and 1 in the Copa del Rey-, many of them coming from the penalty spot. The specialist penalty taker had displayed his skill from 11 metres as both a striker and midfielder during his time in the club's youth setup.

Behind Soler, in joint second place for most goals are Uros Racic and Yunus Musah, two players who completed the final stage of their training at the VCF Academy. They have two goals apiece so far.
