Blood donors gifted reusable Valencia CF masks

Valencia CF, through the VCF Foundation, continue to collaborate with the Valencian Transfusion Centre (CTCV), with their projects this year forming part of the ‘Junts Anem AMUNT’ campaign.
This Wednesday, those who give blood at the donation points in the city of Valencia and the surrounding region will be presented with a reusable mask bearing the club badge. The gift is a reward for the solidarity shown by blood donors despite the COVID-19 pandemic, in which they have gone above and beyond to ensure that the needs of hospitals are met.
The delivery of the masks to the CTCV for distribution was made with Valencia CF representatives present: Executive Director Joey Lim, Presidential Office Director Swee Wei Teo, and Ambassador Miguel Ángel Bossio. Receiving them on behalf of the Transfusion Centre were Director Dr. Cristina Arbona and head of Hemodonation Dr. Roberto Roig.
They have been collaborating with the CTCV since 2001, and since then 13,712 blood donors have come forward -more than 4,000 of those inspired to participate for the first time.
Every day, the hospitals in the Valencia region require the donations from 650 people to cover the needs of patients.
Practically anyone can be a donor, as the basic requirements are very simple: The participant must weigh more than 50 kg, be between 18 and 65 years old and be in good health.
