Santamaria, Ugrinic and Danjuma presented as new Valencia CF players
The three footballers, who are already under the orders of Carlos Corberán, shared their excitement and ambition for this new stage at Mestalla.
Albert Celades spoke in a post-match press conference after Valencia CF qualified for the Last 16 of the Copa del Rey, giving his views on the hard-fought victory at Las Gaunas over UD Logroñés.
The game
"Everything is very hard and we're already seeing how the Copa del Rey is shaping up this year, with what happened yesterday and what happened today. I think that in the end we were worthy winners; we had very clear chances to score more goals, we didn't concede any and now we have to turn our thoughts to Saturday's game. The team looked focused and tuned in."
Clear chances
"We started the game very well. I'm sure that if we'd scored one of the clear chances that we had, then everything would have been different and we could have gone into half time 0-3 up. The pitch was getting worse and worse, and Logroñés also have their strengths. But the reality is that we were the better side, and worthy winners. The scoreline was much less than it could have been. We adapted to the game, didn't concede goals and were solid in defence."
A different image
"We aren't at all happy with the games that we had against Real Madrid and Mallorca. We've spoken about this internally and we've acknowledged it publically. We can't hide, but today we saw a different team, with ambition, and the result was much less favourable than what we saw on the pitch. We controlled the game well, managed the situations well and were the better team."
