Valencia CF present at the exhibition ‘Lodo. Miradas de lo vivido’
An initiative promoted by Divina Seguros with the collaboration of Fundación La Caixa and the Polytechnic University of Valencia
Jasper Cillesen made several excellent saves against his former club when Valencia CF played FC Barcelona, but the team went home emptyhanded for their efforts. The Dutchman talked after the game about what the defeat means, and the positives that could be drawn from it.
"We played well, with a disciplined first half. In the second half we were better on the ball as well, and created chances. It's just a shame that they scored three times," he told VCF Media.
"We have to win the next game at all costs. There is no other option."
Asked about his fitness, having returned from a series of injury setbacks, Cillessen said that he believes he is ready for the final run-in.
"I feel good, physically. I'm looking forward to playing the final four games, then there's the 'dessert' (the European Championships)."
