Cillessen: "I had goosebumps when Piccini scored"

A tremendous late save from Jasper Cillessen earned Valencia CF the three points against Elche, as he prevented the ball from crossing the line just before the final whistle. The goalkeeper talked about the victory with VCF Media.

I was lucky that the final chance didn't go in, so I'm happy about that. I'm pleased that Piccini scored, because he's had a really rough two years of injuries and problems. I had goosebumps when he scored.
 

A late win

We're a team, and we go for it. We're happy, and now we have the Copa del Rey on Thursday, folowed by a Monday game against Levante. Then we'll enjoy a good Christmas.

Looking to Europe

With this classification we are fighting to go into Europe next year. A team like Valencia CF has to qualify for Europe every year, and that is our goal.
