The Valencia CF full-back, recovered from his anterior cruciate ligament tear, returned to competition against FC Barcelona at the Estadi Johan Cruyff
Valencia CF presented Deportivo Alavés with the commemorative 'Ninot' for the match between the two teams, continuing the 'Sempre Falles' tradition that has taken place this year at all home games, carried out jointly with the Valencia Ayuntamiento city council.
The Ninot is made up of two football fans, greeting one another with a touch of the elbow that has become customary in the COVID-19 pandemic. The badges of both teams appear, and the background includes the emblematic buildings of the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències -a representation of modern Valencia- in a piece created by artist Fede Alonso.
Before kickoff, Valencia CF president Anil Murthy handed over the figurine to Deportivo Alavés president Alfonso Fernández de Trocóniz, in a ceremony also attended by club ambassadors Ricardo Arias and Miguel Tendillo.
