Duro: "We made a great reading of the game"
Valencia CF's victory against Atletico Madrid saw two goals from Hugo Duro, the striker who now has three goals from the first 5 games played in LaLiga.
A perfect performance
It was a perfect game because, apart from the fact that we won, they did not create any chances and Giorgi (Marmardashvili) only made one or two saves. That speaks of the job the team did. We have to continue in the same way and not relax.
Intensity
We knew that Atletico Madrid had high-quality players and the way we approached the game was the best way, being intense and taking advantage of the spaces. We made a great reading of the game and we achieved the victory.
Another brace against Atletico Madrid
They are coincidences, really. It's the work done by the entire team. For better or worse, my position depends on my teammates. The passes from Sergi (Canós) and Fran (Pérez) were very good and now I'm going to continue working and thank them too. I'm very happy.
Scoring winning goals
As long as they help, I hope to score every matchday. Goals have to give you points, and today I am happy because mine did that.
The second goal
Fran gave me the pass and as the ball came to me, I saw someone coming from the left and I knew that if I shot first time, he was going to block. I waited for him to go past by putting on the breaks, and I struck into the ground and in. It was also a little lucky -which last year wasn't the case. Things are working out this season.
The fans
You notice the fans a huge amount, even in the warmup, and you can see that every effort is recognised. They only ask for that effort, and they support us and affect our opponents. The fans are very important so that we can fight in every game as we have been doing until now.
