Hugo Duro spoke after the final whistle about the 1-2 win against Sevilla FC in LaLiga.
Opening day win
I'm happy, but we have to keep going. Last year we started with a win, and look at how we ended up. We need to learn and to take things game-by-game. We should use this as motivation.
Building on the victory
Winning is the best situation, and to do it at such a tough ground gives you a big morale boost. I hope it helps us to look up and to keep united and confident.
Hard work
This team is all about intensity. Gozalbez ran 40 metres to recover a ball that seemed lost and I went across to help him. Javi Guerra finished well. The second goal shows what the team are all about
Effort off the ball
The team are aware that, whether things go well or not with the ball, what is non-negotiable is work without the ball. Today we scored both goals through our defensive work. It's time to continue and work hard.
No excuses
This is the way forward. The team have shown that we can beat anybody, because at such a difficult ground we did things very well. There are no excuses for anything or anyone anymore. The young players contribute more every day. Whoever we are, there are no excuses.
