FAN STORY: A photo with Kluivert… 18 years later

18 years later Igor repeated his photo with Kluivert, but this time with Justin Kluivert. Over there, his grandmother, Lola Mateu showed Justin Kluivert the photo that in 2005 Igor took with his father Patrick Kluivert in the 2005/2006 season.
"It was the first day of the season and I was leaving a bunch of flowers at the Virgin Mary and we saw your father. We adopted our son from Russia. Your father saw him and said "What a handsome child." Lola tells VCF Media.
The Dutchman had joined Valencia CF that season after winning the European Cup, European Super Cup and Intercontinental Cup with Ajax Amsterdam and having also played for FC Barcelona and AC Milan. After learning the story of Igor, whom his parents adopted from Russia, he invited them to visit the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna.
During that season a special relationship was forged whereby Igor and his family went to the CIutat Esportiva de Paterna on several occasions to watch Valencia CF training sessions and Patrick Kluivert who gave them a shirt signed by all the members of that year's squad.
