Diego López: "I'm really happy with what we Valencia CF players are contributing to the Spanish national team"
The Valencia CF forward is through to the U21 EURO quarter-finals
Hugo Guillamón made an essential contribution for Valencia CF on Matchday 10, with personal significance as well: He scored his first LaLiga goal in the match against Deportivo Alavés, helping the team to a draw on their visit to Mendizorroza.
The centre back put the finishing touches on a well-worked team move, in which Carlos Soler and Daniel Wass deceived the Alavés defence and Guillamón rose unmarked to head home a cross from the former.
Guillamón took just 13 games to open his account in the top flight, and did so in Vitoria, close to San Sebastian where he was born 20 years ago.
Previously, for VCF Mestalla, the defender found the net against Deportivo Alcoyano and Andorra.
