Valencia CF continued their charge up the LaLiga table with a win over Celta Vigo this past weekend, and in the process extended an impressive home streak. So far this season, the team have gone 12 games unbeaten at Mestalla in league competition, with 7 wins and 5 draws to their name.
The run is their best to start the season at home since the 1981-82 campaign.
That year, Valencia CF went league games without a loss on home soil to open the season, with 14 wins and 1 draw until a visit from Real Sociedad that ended 1-2.
VCF have not lost at Mestalla in domestic competition since April 28th, 2019, when they were beaten by Eibar in LaLiga.
The current home win record is three games, with Valencia CF claiming the three points against SD Eibar (1-0), FC Barcelona (2-0) and Celta Vigo (1-0). A total of 16 points from a possible 18 is an impressive haul for Albert Celades' men at Mestalla.
