Fórum Algirós highlights past, present and future of Ciudad Deportiva
The 18th Fórum Algirós, organised by the Valencia CF Heritage and Museum Department at the Antonio Puchades stadium as part of the 30th anniversary of the Ciudad Deportiva, celebrated the work of the facility and the VCF Academy.
It looked at the past, present and future of both institutions.
Prior to the start of the roundtable discussion, the club acknowledged those Valencianistas who had a fundamental role in making the construction of the Ciudad Deportiva a reality.
The president of Valencia CF, Anil Murthy, the director general of the VCF Academy, Sean Bai, and the director general of the VCF Foundation, Teo Swee Wei, handed over reproductions of the club's constitutional act to the relatives of three former Valencia CF presidents: Francisco Ros Casares, José Ramos Costa and Arturo Tuzón.
The following also took part in the roundtable: Valencia CF youth product Hugo Guillamón; footballers from the VCF Academy and debutants in official competition with the first team, Rubén Iranzo and Cristhian Mosquera; the VCF Femenino player María Jiménez; former Valencia CF player and current coach of VCF Mestalla, Miguel Ángel Angulo; and Salvador González “Voro," the former Valencia CF footballer and current team manager.
All agreed on the importance of the Ciudad Deportiva facilities, as well as the first class professionals who help with the running of the VCF Academy and the values of VCF DNA.
