Gayà: "What is in our power is to pick ourselves up and keep going"
José Luis Gayà spoke to VCF Media after the match against Girona CF, to analyse the defeat for Valencia CF on LaLiga Matchday 20.
Unity in the dressing room
It's another defeat. We leave here hurting, but we have a week ahead of us without a game during midweek. We have to work hard and get everything clearer. We have to stick together and stay united, to be able to lift ourselves out of this situation. Unfortunately, I have already experienced situations like this. All we can do is work hard.
Doubts after the interval
The other day we also had a good first half and were well set up. Today we were organised and we went on the counterattack, doing damage in the first half. In the second half we started with doubts, their goal came and we weren't able to react. We have to be more united than ever.
Turning attention to Athletic Club
We have another chance. This is the good thing about football. We came into this one off many games in a row and this week free will be good for us to work better and face the games that we have left more solidly.
Commitment to the fans
The fans who are with us have to know that the team are not going to give up and are going to give everything until the end. I understand that people are angry, but what is in our power is to pick ourselves up and keep going.
