Corberán: “It’s time to compete and to give our all”
The coach looks ahead to the game against Deportivo Alavés
Hugo Guillamón was born on January 31st, 2000 in San Sebastián, before his family moved to L’Eliana. Just a few months later, a defender arrived who soon became one of his idols arrived at Valencia CF: Roberto Ayala.
When Guillamón joined the VCF Academy, Ayala was playing his final matches for the club, and the young talent looked up to the Argentine. He considered the defender to be "A player with heart," who gave everything in every game. Although he would never meet 'El Ratón' in person, he would follow his career closely before he hung up his boots.
Other childhood idols for Guillamón included Carles Puyol and Sergio Ramos, the latter of which he hopes to face during his first full season with the first team.
