The design, by Fenwick Iribarren Architects, follows the principles of ‘green architecture’
On the occasion of the LaLiga Matchday 7 game between Valencia CF and Athletic Club, the club's 'ADN Mestalla Solidari' campaign pays tribute to the Hogares Compartidos association for the great work they do with the elderly. Valencia CF offered the entity the chance to see Mestalla from within, and raise awareness of their work in the community.
Hogares Compartidos is an innovative initiative that was born from the need to support those elderly people who do not have the resources to live in a decent home with their pension. The association works mainly in Valencia city and coordinates with health professionals from Municipal Social Services Centres, Health Centres, Hospitals, soup kitchens and other NGOs.
The association's mission is to combat the loneliness and social marginalisation felt by the elderly and other vulnerable groups, through participation in a social support programme in stable homes -where autonomy and independence is favoured.
Valencia CF's ‘ADN Mestalla Solidari’ campaign showcases this association and their commitment to caring for the elderly, highlightng its fundamental role in Valencian society.
