Hugo Duro is up for the cup

Valencia CF were in Copa del Rey acttion yesterday after reaching the final last season. In that final, Hugo Duro scored Valencia CF's goal and yesterday he netted again in a competition which he has a very special relationship with.

The story of Hugo Duro, the Copa del Rey and Valencia CF began in a rather unfortunate way for the Madrid striker in 2019 a  teammate 's delivery came off hima and  in doing so  completed the comeback. But, with his move to Valencia CF he turned the situation around and turned that misfortune into a kind of purple patch in front of goal that just keeps on giving.

"It seems that I have something special with the Cup", he commented after finding the net again against  CF La Nucía. And that something is already four goals in the competition as a Valencianista, some of them really important. Last season, Hugo Duro scored against Cádiz CF (quarter-finals), Athletic Club (semi-finals) and Real Betis (final), besides the goal against CF La Nucía.
