Jaume Costa: "As long as it isn't mathematically impossible we have to keep on fighting"
Following Valencia CF's defeat at the hands of Villarreal at the Estadio de la Cerámica, Jaume Costa spoke to VCF Media to give his thoughts on the regional derby.

"It's a pity, because this game was vital for us continuing in the fight. We're a little far off now. As long as it isn't mathematically impossible we have to keep on fighting. We have to keep giving our all. In the end, it's not about what we say; we have to show it out on the pitch," said the fullback, who acknowledged that the players were hurt by the result against their regional rivals.

"Things didn't go well from the start. They scored very early and it just wasn't our day. I can’t say anything else. We leave here feeling very distraught and from tomorrow we need to focus on the next game."
Costa also admitted that the odds have lengthened on Valencia CF qualifying for the Champions League, but insisted that the team have no quit in them.
"We have to keep going, we have to keep going, focusing on picking up as many points as possible until it’s mathematically out of our reach. Anything is possible. We all were distraught out there on the pitch, but other than that we have to be mentally strong to try and pick up all three points against Athletic Club.
