Last season's visit to Balaídos was a turning point in Valencia CF's season. It was one of the key moments of the campaign, in which the squad needed a victory and were able to take it in a show of grit and determination.

They came back from 1-0 down, with Ferran Torres scoring his first league goal for the club and Rodrigo finding  late winner in a 1-2 triumph. It did plenty to boost belief, and drove the team towards league and Copa del Rey success in the second half of the season.

The team meet Celta Vigo earlier in the season this time around, meaning they have a chance to put an early win on the board and continue picking up points, following their opening day draw against Real Sociedad.
