Valencia CF Women’s first team and Academy enjoy a family celebration of the 4 promotions
Historic milestone at the Club, with the A team to Liga F; the B team to 2ª RFEF; the C team to 3ª RFEF; and the D team to Autonòmica Valenta
Both sides were off to a good start and well-positioned on the pitch. Payne was the main attacking outlet for the hosts. Sevilla FC had further attempts on goal which called Enith into action who looked strong between the sticks. On 20 minutes, VCFF shook off the hosts’ pressure to pile pressure on Cristian Toro’s backline.
Chances were few and far between as both goalkeepers were keeping out everything in their way with the ball possession evenly shared between both sides. The first half finished scoreless without further incidents.
The second half saw a lively start at both ends. On 58 Candela’s effort fizzed just wide of the underside of the post. Two minutes later, Payne had a goal disallowed for offside and on 62 minutes, the Sevilla keeper kept out a spot-kick to Marta Carro’s effort
The hosts were breaking into the box with ease. However, The Sevilla keeper denied Sandra after pushing away the Canary Islander’s drive.
Tiredness started to take a toll on both sets of players as both defences were coming out on top. Enith pulled off a magnificent stop to Payne’s headed effort. The scoreline remained unchanged and the points were shared at full-time.
