Valencia CF’s General Director, Sean Bai, appeared before the media at the presentation press conference of Gennaro Gattuso as a new Valencia CF head coach and on that note, he has sent his first message to the Valencia CF fans:
Good afternoon to everyone,
Thank you very much for attending the press conference to introduce our new coach, Gennaro Gattuso.
We are very happy about your arrival and we wish you the best of luck. We are going to work together with great enthusiasm and I am sure that everything will go very well.
Today the protagonist is our coach, but I want to send out a public message: At Valencia Club de Fútbol we want to carry out a change of direction. Through self-criticism, we are going to work hard to make our fans happy again and make them feel proud of their Club.

We think we have to be more open with our fans and closer to them. For this reason, we are going to reopen the comments on our social networks.
However, these relationships between the club, the fans and everybody else must always show respect. In our decision-making, we always aim to increase the happiness, excitement and pride of our fans for our club. Another of our objectives is to get closer to all sectors of the Valencia CF fanbase.
Sometimes we will have to make unpopular decisions aimed at the medium and long term, and with the sole purpose of continuing the greatness of this centenary club.

I want to highlight another key concept: the identity. We want you to identify with this club and share that famous 'Valencia Club de Fútbol DNA' that makes us unique, and that makes us experience football in such a special way as a 'Sentiment' and a way of life.
We are all going to work as a team. We are a family: The club, the coach and his staff, the fans, the Academy, the media... all united and strong with the same desire: to make a great Valencia CF.
I don't want to speak any longer now, but you have our word that we will explain all these steps to you soon. Soon we will meet to explain this project.

Today is our coach's day. His career and experience as a footballer and in the dugout endorse him to manage Valencia CF. His grit and passion are added to by his taste for good football which, I'm sure, will give us great joy.
Once again, welcome, thank you all and AMUNT VALENCIA
