“Métele un gol a la pobreza” celebrates 17th edition with slogan "This triumph belongs to everyone"
The “Métele un gol a la pobreza” campaign celebrates its 17th edition this Christmas, with the aim of collecting new toys for young children from families without resources. The club's participation comes through the involvement of the VCF Foundation.
Organised by the VCF Foundation, the Valencian Institute of Creative Pedagogy (IVAPEC), Nuevo Centro, El Corte Inglés and Aviprev, the campaign starts on Friday, December 17th, and runs until Thursday, December 23rd. Valencianistas can deposit new toys in the giant toy chest located in the interior plaza of Nuevo Centro.

The entities receiving the new toys are: Ari-Peru Association, Avep Association, Rumiñahui Association, Casa Chile, Deporte por Educación Nazaret, Mundo Solidario and Banco de Alimentos.
The presentation of “Métele un gol a la pobreza” was attended by the director general of the VCF Foundation, Teo Swee Wei, Valencia CF ambassador, Miguel Ángel Bossio; director of Ivapec, Mar Sánchez Marchori; director of Nuevo Centro, Alfredo Tell; the director of El Corte Inglés in Nuevo Centro, Manuel Espinar; and the regional director of Communications, Sustainability and Institutional Relations for El Corte Inglés, Pau Péres Rico.
Teo Swee Wei: “Once again, we maintain our social commitment to families without resources this Christmas. For 17 years, we have collected toys for underprivileged children. Our wish is that this action achieves a lot of attention, because at the VCF Foundation our objective is to make a better society for everyone."
