Musah: "Valencia CF have given me confidence in the World Cup"
Yunus Musah will be part of the USMNT side who take on the Netherlands in World Cup action on Saturday, and the Valencia CF player spoke to VCF Media in Qatar to talk about his experience of the competition so far.
Adapting to Qatar
From the first day that I arrived here, and saw all of the facilities and the way that they've put together the World Cup, I was very surprised. It's very nice.
We've been training every day, and the games have been going very well. I'm very happy.

Qualifying for the knockout stages
It was my birthday and it wasn't easy to keep my emotions under control. I had to be focused on the game. It was the best birthday present of my life, going through to the knockout stage.
We're confident that we can go far. We have the ability to do so, but we have to show that on the pitch. In this competition you need to keep growing in every game.
Breaking records with the USMNT
It's incredible to be the teeager with the most appearances, because there have been other great players. Also, starting as a teenager in the World Cup is amazing. I have to thank the entire coaching staff and my teammates. It's a matter of opportunity, and they gave me that.

The Netherlands game
The next game is going to be very difficult. We want to improve in every game and above all we need to be confident. You won't achieve anything without confidence, so we'll give it our all in this game.
Confidence from Valencia CF
My coach and teammates at Valencia CF are giving me a lot of confidence. They let me play a very good role in the team. They are helping me to grow a lot. That's helped me to get to the World Cup, and I've got that confidence. Things are going very well.
As another midfielder, Gattuso teaches me a lot about controlling my emotions.
At times you don't believe in your abilities, but he shows me to be confident and helps me with a lot of things in my game. He's helped me by playing me a lot this season, helping me to grow, which I'm very grateful for. That's helped me to play in the World Cup at a high level.
Everybody wishes me well in every game, and they send me messages. It's a great group. The fans of Valencia CF have always supported me. I'm very grateful for their messages of support.

LaLiga action after the World Cup
The win against Betis was something that we wanted to do to get a good dynamic going. We have to start again with a strong desire. We're a team who can do very well, and when the World Cup is over we're ready for LaLiga
