The Nou Mestalla will be a leading stadium in environmental sustainability
The design, by Fenwick Iribarren Architects, follows the principles of ‘green architecture’
The 'Sempre Falles' continues this Friday at Mestalla, for Matchday 26 of the LaLiga season. Valencia CF are visited by Villarreal CF, and will give the team from Castellón a specially designed Ninot figurine as a souvenir of the game, helping Fallas artists in the process.
Before kickoff, the figurine will be handed over to a representative of Villarreal CF, as has happened in all home league games and Copa del Rey fixtures this season. This time around, the Ninot is the work of artists José Luis Ceballos and Francisco Sanabria, of the Ceballos&Sanabria workshop.
The Ninot makes a nod to the opposing team's nickname, 'The Yellow Submarine.' A humanised aquatic vehicle is accompanied by two fish, wearing Valencia CF and Villarreal CF shirts, respectively, and playing with a ball.
