Valencia CF have appointed former player César Sánchez as the club’s Director of Football. In his role he will head the Sports Department, working with new Head of Scouting, Miguel Ángel Corona. Both have signed contracts until June 2020 and will be assisted by Jorge López in the new setup.
César Sánchez Domínguez was born in Coria (Cáceres) on September 2, 1971 and debuted in the the Primera Divisón in 1992. After representing Spain at international level, he arrived at Valencia CF in January 2009 and played 78 games, before ending an extensive and successful playing career at 41 years old. César is an Economics graduate and holds the UEFA PRO Coach License, as well as having completed the Advanced University Course in RFEF Sports Management.
