Parejo reacts to Europa League result and Spain call-up

Dani Parejo reacted to news of his second call-up for Spain on Friday in a special interview with VCF Media, and also spoke about his side's progress in the UEFA Europa League. The Valencia CF captain had not featured in the game against FC Krasnodar due to suspension, but was delighted with the late goal that put them into the next stage of the competition.
"The club and the fans are very excited about us reaching the quarter finals. We've played Villarreal twice this season already, but Europe is different and it isn't the same atmosphere as in LaLiga. It will be a very tough game, and we are just four games away from being able to play in a European final," said the midfielder.
“In this Centenary year, which is so special, I've always said that I believe in this team. Even when things didn't start our how we would have liked, now we are in a good situation. We're at our best just when everything is being decided at the end of the season."
Parejo's own form has been rewarded with his selection for the Spanish national team, as he has been included in Luis Enrique's squad for the games against Norway and Malta.
“I'm very happy," he reiterated. "I think that hard work has its reward. This is my second call-up for Spain, and for me it's the best thing in the world. Coincidentally, my family are here for Fallas and were with me when I received the call. It was an unforgettable moment."
"I consider Mestalla to be my home. I've spent eight years here, and being able to play for Spain here would be another dream come true. But that's up to the coach. I'm in some of the best form of my career -if not the best- and thanks to that I'm able to experience this dream of representing Spain."
