Diego López: "I'm really happy with what we Valencia CF players are contributing to the Spanish national team"
The Valencia CF forward is through to the U21 EURO quarter-finals
Despite the majority of his on-feld responsibilities revolving around running the midfield, Dani Parejo has spent 7 years scoring LaLiga goals for Valencia CF. On April 20th, 2013, he found the net for the first time for the club, in a game against Malaga CF at Mestalla that ended 5-1 in his team's favour.
Parejo would control the ball on the edge of the area with his right foot, see it come back to him off a defender, get past the opposition man and beat the goalkeeper with a solid finish.
Whilst he had previously found the net for the club from a free kick in the Copa del Rey against CA Osasuna, the strike against Malaga was his first in league action.
The league goal arrived some 19 months after his debut for Valencia CF in LaLiga, but opened the way for him to contribute more successfully efforts in the coming years. He has now scored against almost every side in the Spanish top flight -ironically with the only exception being CA Osasuna.
So far, Parejo's best season for league goals at Valencia CF is 2014/15 (11), whilst in last two campaigns he had provided 7 (2017-18) and 9 (2018-19) to help the club into the Champions League. Before the league was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he was on course for his best tally thus far, with 9 goals after 27 matchdays.
