Parejo two goals away from most prolific campaign
Dani Parejo scored a decisive goal against Real Betis, upping his total to nine for the season. The Valencia CF captain is now just two goals off his best tally for this point in a single season. The midfielder's top haul in a campaign at the 36-match mark, since joining the club, was 11 in 2014/15.

In 2019/20 he has pulled level with Maxi Gómez as Valencia CF's top goalscorer, having found the net against Real Betis, RCD Espanyol, Atletico Madrid, Deportivo Alavés, CD Leganés and RCD Mallorca (twice) in LaLiga, plus a UEFA Champions League strikes and LOSC Lille and a goal against Real Madrid in the Spanish Supercopa.

Twelve games lie ahead for the team in LaLiga, as well as at least one more in the Champions League. Parejo has been providing goals from set pieces, penalties and now his first from open play, and will try to convert his individual contribution into collective success.
