Paulista: "There is still a lot of the season left"
Gabriel Paulista was a starter at Mestalla once again in Valencia CF's match against Cádiz CF. After the final whistle, the central defender spoke to VCF MEDIA about the 0-0 draw.
Reviewing the result
"We had prepared for two weeks to get the three points today, but it is very difficult because they don't take many risks. This point was very important for Cadiz. We know that we didn't play a good enough game to get the three points: We didn't create chances, and you can't play like that. We have to do a little more if we are to look for positive results. It's true that we kept another clean sheet, and that's important. We're more confident on the defensive side and Giorgi Mamardashvili has helped us a lot, as he's a great goalkeeper. Now we have a game against a very strong team at home, who defend well."

Positive mentality
"We are in good form in defence, and in attack things had been working. Today it didn't work because Cadiz had a very good defensive line, neutralising important players like Gonçalo Guedes. There are going to be very tough games like today, and even tougher ones, but we have a good team and we can reach the European positions; there is still a lot of the season left. We are using positive thinking."
Returning after injury
“I had been sidelined for a long time, with what was a very complicated injury. I went through difficult times, but now I can't take so many risks because I don't want to get injured again - I want to be with alongside my team, helping. This match has helped me to get to 100%, and I want to congratulate Alderete and Diakhaby, who are playing very well. I am especially happy for Diakha, because there was a lot of criticism of him and he is a very good guy, much loved by everyone."
