Rubén Baraja reaches 400 games for Valencia CF
Valencia CF's coach Rubén Baraja continues to extend his legend at the Club. After the match against Villarreal CF on matchday 19 of LaLiga EA Sports 23-24, he has reached 400 games for Valencia CF (38 as a coach and 362 as a player) with a record of 195 wins, 103 draws and 102 defeats.
El Pipo' is one of the most successful and illustrious players in the history of Valencia CF. He forged his legend in the 2000s, helping to win 2 La Liga titles, 1 UEFA Cup, 1 European Super Cup and 1 Copa del Rey. Such is his legacy that, at the centenary Mestalla, which bears the canvas alongside the Club's legends.
On 14 February 2023, Baraja took the reins as Valencia CF's first-team coach, making his debut against Getafe CF at El Coliseum on 20 February. During that stretch of the season, he was able to lead the team and get the best out of the players. It is worth noting that Baraja has already been a coach at the Club. In this case, at the VCF Academy as coach of VCF Juvenil A and as interim coach of VCF Mestalla.
In this 2023-24 campaign, Rubén Baraja in his second season in charge of the Valencia CF first team, racked up 38 games and reached the landmark figure of 400 games in total with Valencia CF (38 as a coach and 362 as a player), in which he has played for VCF Mestalla and Valencia CF Mestalla.
