Sempre Falles Throwback: The Ninot for the game against Atletico Madrid
The fifth Ninot to form part of the ‘Sempre Falles’ initiative was produced for Valencia CF's game against Atletico Madrid on November 28th of last year, in a Matchday 11 fixture at Mestalla. The figurine was designed by Vicente Espeleta from Fallas Espeleta, in Burriana.
The design reflects modern day Valencia, with the iconic Hemisfèric building of the Ciudad de las Artes. Above it, a player performs an overhead kick. Opponents Atletico Madrid are represented in the form of the bear and tree that form part of their club crest.
'Sempre Falles' sees these figurines -unique to each home game- presented to the opposing sides who visit Mestalla this season. It helps support Fallas artists during a difficult time, due to the cancellation of the famous regional festivities.
