Valencia CF goes eight games unbeaten
A positive run of form marked by the ‘Mestalla factor’ and the team’s great effort and hard work
The first time that José Luis Gayà, Carlos Soler and Toni Lato coincided on the pitch against Real Madrid, they scored a goal to remember. Just over three years have passed since an August fixture at the Santiago Bernabeu, in which the three VCF Academy products combined in style.
Gayà sent a long ball to Lato, who got to the byline and set up Soler, who finished the move with a shot into the net.
The trio of homegrown talents are likely to feature in some capacity in this weekend's contest against Los Blancos on LaLiga Matchday 9.
Gayà and Soler were both in the starting lineup against Getafe CF last Sunday, with Lato introduced within the final quarter hour. The latter is an option for coach Javi Gracia at right back in the absence of Thierry Correia through suspension.

In that game, Soler stepped up to score from the penalty spot, and will be attempting to get a run of goals going with a replica of that team move from three seasons ago.
