For children whose birthdays fall during the lockdown period in Spain, the day is a little different this year. That was the case for young Adriana Sebastiá, who could not spend her special day with either her friends or her family. However, her father Sergio had an idea for making it an occasion to remember.
Sending a private message on Twitter to Carlos Soler, one of his daughter’s idols, the Valencia CF fan got a response in rapid fashion. The midfielder wished Adriana many happy returns, much to her delight.
“She's always watching the Valencia CF App, and she can't wait to go to Mestalla and get a photo taken with Carlos. It would be a dream for her,” said Sergio.
“Our love for the club has been passed down from grandparents to parents, to grandchildren. My father was a member and shareholder at Valencia CF for many years, and I hope that our passion continues for many more years to come. You can't lose this. I always say that this is a way of life.
“I'll always be very grateful to Valencia CF and Carlos Soler for the gesture they made for us.”
