Valencia CF welcome the women’s K4-500 world champions

Carlos Soler was back to scoring ways from the penalty spot on Matchday 26, scoring against Villarreal to kickstart Valencia CF's comeback. He told VCF Media that the derby win could be just the lift that the team need for the coming weeks.
"This win gives us a huge morale boost for the upcoming games. We knew that this was going to be a very tough game. Eve though they had gone a while without a win, they have very good players. They went in front, with a penalty that I'm not going to comment on, because we're not clear on the handball situation. I'm not going to talk about that," explained Soler.
"From there, they had chances. I think that was down to some mistakes; I don't think that they were vastly superior in the first half. We went into the dressing room at half time believing that we could turn this around, as we would have chances if we kept on playing the same way. That proved to be the case. We got our goal from a penalty, then I think that we were stronger than them towards the end -with more confidence too. Maybe it's what we'd been lacking in recent games, in which we'd let our heads drop. That wasn't the case today -quite the opposite- and we got the three points."

"In recent games we struggled to trust that we could come back against Real Madrid and Getafe. Today we showed that when we go for it, we all win."
"These kinds of games could mark a change. We had won against Elche and Celta Vigo, keeping clean sheets. We did that again tonight. Mestalla is back to being Mestalla again, even though we miss our fans."
Unfortunately for Soler, he will miss the team's next game -another derby, this time against Levante UD- but he trusts his absence will be covered competently.
"I knew that I was one booking away from a suspension, and the incident in which I picked up the yellow card might have deserved it. As it was my first foul, I spoke to the referee, and he said that it was reckless. Whoever replaces me next weekend, I'm sure that they will do well."
